One of the main characters of "A Little Piece of Heaven," he is a very shy and antisocial boy. He lacks the courage to speak in public and cannot seem to form words in any other place than home. As silent as he may be, he does have some friends. He treats them more like acquaintances than anything else. He attends public high school at Haliberd High School where he is considered one of the smartest students by his peers. Certain classmates of Akuro's tend to think that Ayumu is a murderer due to his silent habits and awkward personality. Akuro has had a secret obsession with classmate, Yuki Fuyumura, ever since they had a brief encounter in elementary school. The obsession grew to infatuation which eventually led to him developing strong feelings for her. Due to his nature, he is unable to form words when she is near him.
The other main character of "A Little Piece of Heaven," Yuki Fuyumura is a mystery. She is a very thoughtful girl and is very friendly. However, nobody knows what she does after school hours.
The mother of both Akuro and Hotaru Heavest. She is a very caring mother and does everything she can to ensure that both her children are happy. She's always giving words of wisdom and advice to her antisocial son. She enjoys normal housewife activity but other times she likes to relax and just play board games with her daughter, Hotaru.
The younger sister of Akuro and daughter to Hanako. She is a mischievous teenage girl who likes to play tricks on her older brother sometimes but for the most part is an adorable tomboy. She sometimes gives Akuro a hard time about being antisocial and sometimes even teases him about it but deep down, she cares for her big brother. She is very close with her mother and spends a majority of her time with her mother.
